Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Today, Focalin and Wednesday

Saturday:

On Saturday we celebrated Tylers uncles birthday. His actual birthday was Friday. He officially has ONE year left in his 20's hehehehe. Anyways, my brother Tylers uncle, lives with us. My mom came up with my other brother to take Uncle T. out for dinner. Tyler had a very very OFF day. He was not thrilled about the company. He hid under a blanket in my lap whining for quite awhile. On and off he'd do some tantrumming and whining and lashing out. He had a few timeouts in his room. We tried to change his mood by taking him to the park but it didn't work to well at first.

He still didn't want to leave my side or socialize. It took a good half hour for him to lighten up and play. FINALLY, 2 hours later his mood was turning around. He couldn't connect with any of the kids, but he DID try. We then left and went pumpkin picking. We took a hay ride down to the pumpkin patch. Tyler LOVED this activity. He picked out two small pumpkins and I picked out a medium sized one. That boy LOVES his pumpkins. He slept with his two that night!!!

We then went out to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. We ended up being there for 2 hours as service was SUPER slow. Ugh. But it was still a good meal. Tyler was still out of it but thankfully not whiney or anything.

Sunday:

We carved our pumpkins :). Ty actually tried to get some of the seeds and inners out. He got about 4 tablespoons out before he requested that mommy finish it hehe. But that's OK. He loved watching the process and saving the seeds for me to bake. I carved a goofy scary face into the larger of Tylers two pumpkins and daddy carved a ghost into my pumpkin. I baked the seeds, seasoning them with garlic and salt. Tyler had waited ALL DAY for those seeds. He requested them for breakfast and lunch. After dinner I gave him a few, knowing he wouldn't like them. He so badly wanted to like them. He tried on and made a yucky face. He tried it again and his face looked like he was going to cry. I said "you don't like them?". He made a sad face and shook his head. I said "It's OK Tyler, mommy will eat them. You don't have to like them". He talked about his pumpkins ALL day.

Monday:

Tyler requested more pumpkin seeds but I reminded him that he didn't like them. He said "oh yeah". He had gymnastics. He went without focalin yesterday cause I forgot to give it to him. He was totally in lalaland in gymnastics. He did not pay attention what soever and didn't know what he was suppose to do. He still had a good time though.

Today:

Tyler had ST today with the clinics ABA. Last week started out rough but after about 10 minutes and some good ABA techniques, he really did well. Today again he did quite well. I'm thinking it is due to the focalin.

Wednesday:

Is FINALLY Tylers ABA assessment. We have waited since September 1st for this to go through. It took a month for insurance approval and another month due to paperwork issues with the clinic doing the assessment. It is suppose to be about 4 hours long. I hope all goes well!!!

Focalin :

So far Tyler is doing OK on it. In 2 weeks he has had 2 bad days at home and I'm pretty sure they were due to the med. The rest has been OK though. I am playing round with dosage to see if that's the problem. Also we aren't really seeing the eye tic. I am a little but its subtle enough that I can't distinguish it between a medication side affect or his usual eye blinking tic.
