He was SO freaked out. I tried doing the combing thing and he hated it. He felt that his actual hair was bugs and they were "snatching" him. We ended up having to shave his head :(. This was 100% Tyler decision. We did make him try the comb, and we showed him pictures of little boys with no hair. And he wanted to have no hair. It had to have been pretty bad because he had wanted to grow his hair out like a boy in his class. It was getting a little long too (for him). The poor kid :(.
We then went to the mall to buy him some hats so that he could cover his head and keep his dignity. We then headed out grocery shopping. But Tyler lost his new hat at the grocery store. We looked and looked and I left my phone number. Not even an hour later we got the call that it had been found! Yay!!!
Tyler went to school on Monday and I called the school to let them know about the lice. I asked that he be allowed to wear his hat until his hair started to grow back in and they said yes, they understand. However when he got home, he told me they did not allow him to wear his hat. So I wrote yet another note today stating that he had permission from the office to wear his hat. I hope they let him.

I couldn't get a smile out of him, but hats totally suit him. He has a hat face :)
